Carpenter and Paterson have installed Aveva Review Reality 3D in-depth review and analysis software. The viewer reads both PDMS and PDS Software files, and has no limits on project size or complexity.
Pipe support design projects for the Power, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas Industries are undertaken in our head offices in Welshpool, Mid Wales by a team of experienced pipe support designers. Traditionally, pipe support design is based on the following information as supplied by the client:
- Pipework and steelwork general arrangement drawings
- Piping isometrics drawings
- Pipework specifications
- Civil drawings, and other plant details
However, the generation of all these 'paper' drawings is both time consuming and expensive for the client, and can only offer a limited perspective.
The Review Reality 3D viewer offers the possibility to analyse the entire plant model from data stored on a single CD.
The utilisation of this innovative software moves us into the 3D design age, and has enormous advantages over traditional drawings and plastic models. To undertake pipe support design, the client need only provide us with a copy of the plant model CD.
The software offers true-to-life realism with full photographic colour texturing, 3D walkthroughs, and real time shadow casting. What you view is an exact portrayal of the real life plant, where complex animation sequences can be produced and recorded, thus providing invaluable information.
