These insulating pipe shoes are basically moulded components made from glass reinforced composite materials and are often used for loads that PUF material could not accommodate. These materials have an advantage over many materials available in that they are mouldable and can be produced in a wide variety of shapes with properties that are basically non-directional. The materials have excellent fire safety properties; they are not easily ignitable and have a very low flame spread therefore on site welding can be safely carried.
